Visa Procedure (Tourist & Business):

Visa applications for South Korea are processed by the South Korea Embassy, and applicants are required to submit their applications in person on a walk-in basis. It is mandatory for the applicant to be physically present during the visa application submission process.

Requirements (Tourist & Business):

Personal Documents:

Ø Completed and signed visa application form

Ø Detailed itinerary of the planned trip to South Korea

Ø Current passport with a validity of at least 6 months from the date of planned return, and a minimum of two blank pages for the visa stamp. All old passports must also be submitted.

Ø Two recent color photographs (3.5 x 4.5 mm) with a white background, taken within the past 6 months. The applicant's ears must be visible, and no caps or sunglasses should be worn. The photos should not have been used in any previous visa applications.

Ø Copy of birth certificate or national ID card (smart card if available)

Ø Copy of marriage certificate or divorce certificate (as per religion). For widows, a copy of the death certificate is required.

Ø Cover or forwarding letter from the applicant

Ø Consent to quarantine form (attached)

Ø Health condition report form (attached)

Ø Certificate of completion for COVID-19 vaccination.

 

Professional Documents: 

Ø Business Person: Trade license (renewal), Business agreement/deed copy (for partnership Business) / Memorandum of the article, certificate of incorporation, form 12 (For limited company), VAT, IRC, and Membership certificate (If any), 02 Business cards.

Ø Company cover letter (for a business visit): A signed original letter from the employer in the applicant's country of origin, confirming their employment, position in the company, the reason for travel, duration of the visit, and whether they are financially responsible for the applicant.

Ø Employee: A signed original letter from the applicant's employer in their country of origin, reflecting their salary, position in the company, and leave granted for the period of visit or reason for travel, along with payslip / original salary statement/government order (GO) & original note verbal (for official passport holders), and 02 Visiting cards.

Ø Student: A copy of the student's ID, an original school leave letter or permission of absence including full address, telephone number, name, and function of the person granting permission. If the student is going on a school trip, the purpose, duration, and destination must be mentioned in the letter from the school.

Ø Retired Person: Retirement documents.

 

Financial Documents:

Ø Bank statement and solvency certificate (original with bank seal and signature) for the last 6 months for both the company and the individual.

Ø Other financial documents, such as FDR, saving certificates, and share statements (if available).

Ø Income tax certificate with return copy for the last 3 years and E-TIN certificate copy.

Ø Valuation of other assets, such as land and buildings (if any).

 

Travel Document:

Ø Air-ticket booking confirmation.

Ø Confirmation of accommodation at a hotel or guest house for all dates of stay.

 

Overseas Documents:

Ø For tourist purposes: Invitation letter and notarized Affidavit of Support (if available).

Ø For business visits: A letter of invitation from the host organization in South Korea, including conference registration details, reasons for the applicant's visit, itinerary with contact details of the business parties involved, and the applicant's employment contract details.
